"After taking on an instructor in Decemeber, I had 10 lessons, and I still wasn't learning anything new. Every lesson I had the same route and was still finding it difficult to get to grips with driving.
So I decided to change my instructor to see if it was just me or the fact that I didn't agree with my previous instructors methods. After 3 lessons with Peter I was in Launceston, something my previous instructor hadn't even discussed with me.
This was in February. Slowly, Peter took me through the basics, bit by bit, allowing me to piece it together in my own time. Then came manouveres, By-Pass driving, Round-a-bouts, everything you need....through every test route there is possible in launceston. We went through each route at least 4 times a piece while I was learning. Each time doing all four manouveres, in a two hour lesson.
Peter is always calm and collected, and with some of my earlier driving, that is no small feat. He never once raised his voice or spoke down to me. He acts as he should and will have a laugh and a joke no problem, but he is always focused and never stops giving you tips and proffesional opinions.
And never try to get away with anything. He always knows.
I really enjoyed my time learning with Peter. At first I couldn't drive at all. And after 5 months of learning, near the end of June, I took my first test and passed with 7 minors.
I have two other friends who have driven with Peter, both passed first time. Both were very nervous when they started and I was too. Now we can all be seen cruising around.....
I highly recommend him, for first time drivers or people who feel they aren't getting anywhere with their current instructors."
